| Elizabeth's story | Steve's story | Tony and Jenny- our story so far We met when we were in sixth form and were married three years later. By the time we were thirty we had three children. Without giving away the age of Jenny, they are all over 21. They are all great and we could not hope for a better family. It was a shock for Tony to find out in his early twenties that Jesus is alive and that he could know him personally, as can every one of you. Jenny had a church upbringing but didn't follow it through for various reasons until we were married. Indeed, we didn't know this fact until after we had been invited to a Christmas carol service and started attending church where Tony asked Jesus to come into his life and promised to live his life God's way. At the same time Jenny recommitted her life to God. A few years ago, Tony left a long career in banking to work in the charity sector. The experience he had gained in all aspects of business leadership as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and in banking has greatly helped him to both understand the differing needs of charities and help them to develop more effectively. He is presently working with Gweini, a charity set up to provide all those working in the Christian Voluntary sector with help in the area of representation, networking and information, all skills that he had gained with his previous roles. We have thoroughly enjoyed going to Danescourt Christian Fellowship since the church started at the end of the 1980's. The love of God for us has been wonderful and it is also shown to us by the warmth of the friendship we have with those attending the church. We have had a great time helping with children's work, leading house groups, putting on Alpha meals, organising holidays together, singing great songs each Sunday and a great deal more than can ever be listed here. We both love singing and worshipping led by a group of lively musicians every Sunday morning and we hope you will come along to check out what we are saying is true. |
